The Trail of the MoGH adds another Milestone! Caesars Palace...

Today was the official Set-Up day for the MoGH's Caesars Palace Milestone. The MoGH is pleased to partner with Caesars Palace in celebrating their 60th Anniversary with an Exhibit: All Hail the Glory of Caesars Palace!

The Exhibit includes over 200 items loaned to the MoGH by a variety of CCA Members, as well as a multitude of items from Caesars Palace's attic and select items from the Jay Sarno Family, which will be on display for 6-months, and potentially longer.

Further details are being developed, such as hours. But the display will be available at no cost to the public and, of course, Caesars guests and employees. The MoGH owes a debt of gratitude to CCA Member James Hogg for opening the door to the MoGH for this new Milestone.

At today's setup, James coordinated several different Departments at Caesars Palace and directly participated in placing items on loan to the MoGH into the various display cases. Also helping in this setup were Pam Focazio (MoGH Board Officer) and me.

For now, here are some pictures of where we are today. More items will be added on Wednesday of this week, just in time for Thursday's planned opening. The MoGH thanks the following CCA Members for their support in loaning material for this Milestone.

Yesterday marked the soft opening of what is being called The Caesars Palace 60th Anniversary Experience. In preparation for the Experience, Caesars Palace created a special plaque that was placed within a wreath and mounted to the wall above the entryway display case.

While pictured here, the wording is difficult to see, so I have transcribed it here.

The Caesars Palace 60th Anniversary Experience would not have been possible without the generosity, passion, and support of many individuals and organizations dedicated to preserving our remarkable history.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Sarn Family for the kind loan of treasured artifacts and memorabilia that help tell the story of Jay Sarno's extraordinary vision and the creation of Caesars Palace.

We also thank the Museum of Gaming History (MoGH) for their partnership and commitment to preserving and sharing the rich history of gaming and Las Vegas.
