Q for the club (or membership director): how long after applying for a new membership on-line should someone receive acknowledgement of the application and how long to get the new number?

Bob...  There is no acknowledgement process in place.  New member packages require a trip to the post office, so I will do this roughly every week or two.  The new number will be on the membership card in the package.

That said, if you e-mail me a day or two after you've paid for a new membership, I'll be happy to give you the number in a return e-mail.
