Thanks for sharing this, Jim! The 60th Anniversary Experience looks like a really interesting exhibit, especially having all six decades of Caesars Palace history together in one place. I'll definitely have to check out the photos and hopefully get a chance to see it in person while it's on display.

That edge mold is set way too close to the rim. You can already tell these are gonna get chewed up fast once they hit regular circulation. It's a bit like casino chips on Shikaka you want them to look clean, but they still need to survive actual use. Why do they keep doing this when every collector already knows how it ends?

Visit here to see the many photos of the "Caesars Palace 60th Anniversary Experience", now on display at Caesars Palace through February of 2027. This exhibit is a partnership between the MoGH and Caesars Palace and is open 9 am to 9 pm, daily to walk-in visitors.

Or visit Caesars Palace during those hours to relive past Caesars memories. Allow at least 30 -45 minutes to take in all 6 of Caesars' past decades in one room and several annex locations. The principal room is located up a short flight of steps, off of the Statue of David's right side; look left to see the 2 Centurions guarding the entrance.

An extraordinary Caesars Palace memorabilia and collectibles collector.

Paul has loaned nearly 200 different (and 1 duplicate) items to the Casino Collectibles Association's (CCA) Museum of Gaming History (MoGH) in its participation in the "Caesars Palace 60th Anniversary Experience", now fully on display at Caesars Palace.

While Paul has loaned the lion's share of Caesars Palace collectibles for this "Trail of the MoGH" milestone, we also recognize several other CCA members who have supported this effort. In no particular order, they are Bob Hiestand, Brenda and Archie Black, Charles Kaplan, and Robert Baker, to name the majority.

This sounds like a fantastic milestone for the MoGH, especially with so many original pieces coming together in one exhibition. Six months should give visitors plenty of time to appreciate the history and see how Caesars Palace evolved over the decades. It's great to see members contributing their own collections to make something like this possible. retro zino

Greg Susong was a CCA (then, CC&GTCC) club member and pioneer in online message boarding and in creating the predecessor of the MoGH/ChipGuide. In fact, he started the ChipBoard message board, if you're familiar with it. Well-liked by everyone. He passed away too soon in 2008 but he is still fondly remembered.

There have been numerous "Greg Susong (Memorial) Get-Together" events on the Tuesday evening prior to the annual CCA conventions, for those who have arrived in LV early for the convention and enjoy saying hello in person.

That's all background FYI. The chip you show is a bit different. Some club members who also play poker held a Susong poker tournament annually in his honor for a few years. Your chip was made as a hand-out to the players in the tournament, as a souvenir. The actual tournament was held at the M Resort on the date shown. It was arranged by a local LV club member.
