Hail to all of the casino memorabilia collectors out there, and in particular, those who are holding Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, NV, artifacts.
The Museum of Gaming History (MoGH) is very pleased to announce that we are teaming up with Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, in celebration of their 60th Anniversary. Caesars Palace had its Grand Opening on August 5, 1966, and is currently installing tribute displays marking the various time periods of this famed Las Vegas Strip casino and hotel.
Already in place is "Sinatra's Steinway," a concert grand piano, which has remained unplayed since the last time Frank used it for a series of concerts in the 1970's and 1980's. Tribute displays include homage to the Boxing years, the 1980's Grand Prix (F-1) years, cocktail server uniform, Cleopatra and Julius Caesar costumes. Planned displays will include Robbie Knievel's motorcycle, the headpiece from Cleopatra's Barge, and other, original artifacts from Caesars Palace's attic and from collectors of Caesars Palace memorabilia around the World.
Truth be known, the Sun never sets on Caesars Palace memorabilia and collectibles collectors.
Already acquired for loaning purposes by the MoGH, for loaning to Caesars Palace are:
Playing Cards, Gaming Chips, Slot Machine Tokens, Employee Promotional Pin Backs (buttons), Patches (Security and Special Events), Ashtrays, Menus, Match books, Caesars Pendants (medals), key chains, room keys, Rewards cards, Gaming Guides, postcards, Stock Certificates (Lums and Caesars World), etc.
But we are in need more!
Do you have ticket stubs for concerts, boxing, OmniMax Theater, and other ticketed events? Especially from the 60's and 70's. Slot Machine glass, early Caesars Palace credit cards, employee name badges, executive employee business cards, coin buckets/cups (paper and plastic), tableware/glassware, and anything not listed that has the "Caesars Palace" name on it, or belonged to a recognizable Caesars Palace employee, guest, or associate. Evil Knievel comes to mind.
