My father-in-law recently passed away. My husband and I were going through his dad's property and came upon old casino chips. Do these have any value? All but one (Ballys Grand from Atlantic City) are from Las Vegas and are $1 tokens. They are from Flamingo Hilton 1993, Ballys with no date, Caesars 1992, Fitzgerald's Casino 1988, The Las Vegas Club, Sand's, Golden Nugget, Sheraton Desert Inn, Imperial Palace, Circus Circus 1989, Sam Boyd's Fremont Hotel and Casino 1988, El Cortez 1990, The Claridge Flamingo Las Vegas. Any help would be appreciated!
I'm sorry for your loss. It would help if you could scan or take a picture of these, then upload the picture in response. But if you can't do that, here's some general questions -- you refer to them as both chips and tokens. If chips, it's like poker chips. If tokens, it's metal like a $1 metal coin. Clarifying which you have is a start. Also, you say Claridge Flamingo Las Vegas -- Claridge is in Atlantic City, unless I'm missing something. I count 13 chips/tokens that you have. Is that the correct number? If you can scan, I'll try to help more. Likely, not too much of a premium over the $13 total face value, but maybe there's a hidden value somewhere.
Thank you! They are tokens (metal). I will take pictures of them and post them tomorrow when I do. I really appreciate your response!
