Title: Auctions: Ebay vs a collector site
Post by: Marc Paolella on May 12, 2025, 07:55 PM
I have a rack of chips from the closed Crystal Park Casino. I bought it at the Paulson Store in Atlantic City when they sold to the public back in the day. If I am going to sell them, which auction site would be best. Ebay is wide, but not very deep. Not sure if a lot of poker chip collectors use it. A forum auction site like PCF is also a possibility, but you're only dealing with a smaller population. Plus you have to deal with collecting the money, whereas Ebay handles all of that and people can pay with credit cards or whatever. I also considered posting to all the chip collector forums but using Ebay for the teansaction. Of course, they take a nice cut  :) .
