Title: Players Island Commemorative Chips
Post by: Lolacho on Nov 25, 2024, 09:21 AM
I have two $5000.00 Players Island chips encased in hard plexiglass.  One includes a silver gaming token.  Any idea how to get a value on these?  I can't figure out how to attach pictures.

Does your $5000 chip look like the one shown below? (Not mine. It's from chipguide.themogh.org website.)

If so, it's from a closed casino that was in Mesquite, NV. As encased, it was probably given out as a memento to employees or guests. Like a paper weight. It's hard to value, IMO since there's limited collectors who interests include high-value chips from a non-LV casino that's permanently encased in plastic. Strictly a guess, since I don't collect such items, but it might be in the $20-$50 range (maybe more?), but finding a niche buyer who's interested may be hard.  Again, just my opinion. Try asking at www.thechipboard.com too. Good luck. :)
